A Guide to Understanding our Workout Icons

Our icons are designed to help you select the best training session. Below is a guide to show what each icon represents. While a session may be designed for ‘Simulation’ or ‘Climbing’ it will still provide power and endurance improvements throughout the ride.

30 MINUTE

Training session designed for 30 minutes of intense intervals.

THE ALPS

A special workout that simulates some of the great Alp climbs in France such as Alpe d’Huez, Col du Galibier, Col du Télégraphe, Col d’Izoard & Col de la Madeleine.

These training sessions are designed to maintain and increase your threshold power.

A great way to build on your endurance. Long intervals with a mix of both high & low intensity.

High cadence, fast and intense interval training designed to develop endurance and power.

CLIMB

Low cadence intervals that require high resistance. Build those muscles with these intense sessions.

[Note: If using training rollers, ignore the suggested Cadence. Use the biggest ring on your chainset and the smallest ring on your rear cassette throughout the workout. Your cadence will most likely reach more than 100rpm during an effort of 10/10].

SIMULATION

Fun and challenging interval sessions that imitate a real life race situation. Whether its chasing the race leader or making a breakaway from the Peloton, these training sessions will keep you alert!

HEART RATE ZONE

Carefully designed intervals to develop your ability to reduce your heart rate after an intense interval. After a 10/10 effort interval, practice controlling your breathing to slow your heart rate back to the correct zone before the next interval arrives.
